Dr. Justin Courtney

If you or a loved one is in need of complex or extensive dental treatment, you have come to the right place. It takes a unique combination of skill, knowledge, experience and care to perform complex dental restoration. And Dr. Courtney possesses each of those qualities.

Because Dr. Courtney has been treating patients for many years, he has seen and addressed virtually every type of dental problem a person can have. This makes it possible for him to do custom treatment planning to address every aspect of your mouth that needs care. Dr. Courtney will only recommend the treatment options that are right for, and he always takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns. Often there is no single “right way” to treat a patient’s concern and only by really understanding the patient can the dentist recommend the best approach.

Have you put off seeing the dentist for a long time?

Coming to see the dentist can be daunting, especially if you haven’t been in for quite some time. We encourage new patients to come and see Dr. Courtney for a complimentary exam and evaluation.

Dental problems don’t get better over time – they unfortunately only get worse. In many cases we can save a tooth that is decaying if treatment is done quickly. But if the treatment is put off, the tooth can deteriorate to the point that the only solution is to extract it and use dental implants or a dental bridge. The good news is that in most cases, Dr. Courtney will be able to do all the treatment that you need to completely restore your mouth to full health, function and beauty.

Restoring the natural beauty of your smile

Restoring a person's smile to full beauty and function requires looking at more than just the individual teeth and surrounding gums. It includes the way your jaw works and the way your teeth come together. It includes the function and health of each tooth and the supporting bone and tissue. And, most importantly, it includes how many of your teeth shows when you smile and how symmetrical the smile is for your face.

Dr. Courtney has focused his dental career on the pursuit of natural, aesthetic treatment to give his patients beautiful smiles to last a lifetime. In dentistry, as with most things in life, you tend to "get what you pay for." High-quality cosmetic or restorative dentistry is something that most insurance carriers will not pay for, and that can come at a higher cost. This makes it even more important for you to choose a competent provider.

Dr. Courtney has helped thousands of patients over the years, which has given him the opportunity to see all types of cases and learn through experience what techniques and materials provide the most natural and lifelike results. This experience and the knowledge that comes with it is something that can't be taught in a classroom, and it's one of the things our patients value most.

What happens during my initial consultation?

At your first visit with Dr. Courtney, his primary goal is to find out what, if anything, is causing you discomfort and get that taken care of as quickly as possible.

From there, he will talk to you to find out what you would like to improve about your smile, both aesthetically an functionally. Are there broken or missing teeth to be fixed? Do you have some teeth that seem too short or too long? And are there any other flaws that you feel should be corrected?

Once he understands what you hope to achieve, Dr. Courtney will conduct his own examination of your mouth using an intraoral camera and digital x-rays. This will make it possible for him to find the underlying causes of pain, discomfort or decay and recommend comprehensive treatment.

Once the diagnosis is complete, Dr. Courtney will show you the areas that need to be treated and explain your options thoroughly. There is often more than one approach that can be taken, and Dr. Courtney will explain which one he feels is best for you and why.

Dr. Courtney may also show you before and after pictures of cases he has treated so that you can get an idea of what can be accomplished for you.
